Thursday August 21st marked the highly anticipated night of the Elevate Award Ceremony 2008 where Thermasol Total Energy Solutions received the title of Impact Media Elevate Award Winners 2008 and with it the prize of over €40,000 worth of marketing collateral.

The glamorous event was hosted by the Meyrick Hotel where the celebrations began with a champagne reception. Then it was time to move onto the grand suite where Mr. Gareth O’Callaghan of Galway Bay FM interviewed each of the 6 finalists: Mystic Force, Maxx Recruitment, Glowgoat, Live Webstars, Thermasol Total Energy Solutions and Cases Wine Warehouse.

Last year’s winners, Donal Callanan and John Corcoran of Call Jeeves also said a few words on what winning the Elevate Award 2007 meant to them and how it had succeeded in elevating their new business. Then it was time for the moment everyone had been waiting for – the announcement of the Elevate Award Winner 2008, Thermasol Total Energy Solutions.

Thermasol Total Energy Solutions is a home energy efficiency company based in Ballinasloe and run by brothers Donal, Joe and David Reilly. Judges Pronsias Kitt of DHKN, Pat McDonagh of Supermacs and Niall McGarry of Impact Media reached the difficult decision after many weeks of deliberation analyzing all applicants business plans and finally making the final choice of selecting the overall winner.

Niall McGarry, chairman of Impact Media would like to thank all involved in making the event the huge success that it was, “I would like to thank all those involved in the competition, from all the 180 people who applied, to all the sponsors involved”.

McGarry went on to say “This year was by far the most difficult to judge yet, the standard was superb. It is great so see that the spirit of entrepreneurship is truly alive in the West”

So what does the winner of The Impact Media Elevate Award receive??

Thermasol Total Energy Solutions receive a tangible prize worth over €40,000 to elevate their new business to new heights, consisting of an €18,000 package from Impact Media including advertising, marketing, web and public relations, €12,500 worth of advertising space in the Galway Advertiser and Galway First, €5,000 worth of signage produced by Dynasigns, €5,000 from Jaycee Print comprising of business stationery, display systems and print communications and excellent publicity in the local media.
