The Impact Media Elevate Award enables you to elevate your new business to new heights

At Impact Media, we’re always thinking about ideas. We like to grow them, because they grow business.

We also like to recognise and reward others who’ve had the courage to take a great idea and run with it. In 2006, we realised that not enough was being done to support start-up companies, and we launched the Impact Media Elevate Award. Now in its fourth year, the award – worth €120,000 – has been opened for the first time to new businesses from Limerick, as well as Galway.

So, if you have a great business idea and you’re ready to take yourself higher, we’re ready to help.

Two winning companies - one from Galway and one from Limerick - will each receive a prize fund of €60,000. That will provide them with expertise in building and launching their brand through a new website, marketing collateral, PR, strategic planning, press and radio ad space, printing, legal advice and photographic services. Consider it a complete plan for market domination.

This year’s sponsors include the Carlton Hotel Group, who will host the awards ceremony on December 3 at the Carlton Castletroy Park Hotel; i102-104 and Live 95 FM; the Galway Advertiser and the Limerick Post; Castle Print; RDJ Solicitors and viewmaker.

After a rigorous selection process, short-listed entrants will receive extensive media coverage and be put through their paces by a team of top business brains including Pat McDonagh of Supermacs; Tom Murphy of Total Shaving Solution; Oliver Moloney of Instore; Michael Kearney of the Carlton Hotel Group and Niall McGarry of Impact Media. They’ll soon sort the top start-ups from the non-runners.

Entries are being accepted from entrepreneurs in Galway city and county and Limerick city and county. Terms and conditions apply, but no sneaky ones. The closing date for applications is October 27, so prepare for lift off.
