Senior Web Developer
The ideal candidate will have strong Web Development experience and should have at least 3 years experience in a similar role.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with business development, account managers and creative team
- Assist in pricing all new web development projects
- Set up and manage new company intranet system
- Ensure all websites developed meet recommended quality standards
- Track and report on competitors' online activity
- Client training
- Ensure Intervals is kept up to date
- Management of external web contractors
- Advise the company on current trends and future web innovations
- Attend meetings with business development as required
Essential Competencies
- Strong knowledge of PHP (4/5), ASP, Procedural SQL, Javascript (AJAX), JQuery, batch scripting, Perl (D)HTML, XML, XSLT, MySQL, Advanced CSS
- Ability to develop with CMS Made Simple
- Photoshop / Fireworks: ability to take designs from both applications and transform them into sites
- Strong web layout skills and information architecture
- Database marketing experience
- Strong knowledge of SEO: optimisation of content, directory submissions, google ad words, google analytics and web statistics, use of semantic markup
- Ability to develop with current web standards
- Creation of HTML stationary and newsletters. Management of email marketing campaigns.
- Knowledge of Linux environment, Apache & web server admin, complete knowledge of domain and web hosting admin
- Be able to deal with client queries and resolve issues over the phone
- Time management, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks is crucial
