Marketing and design
Helen Faherty - Senior Project Manager
What did you do before joining Impact Media?

I actually joined Impact Media just after it opened in 2003. I worked here for 3 years as a project manager then moved on to work as a marketing manager for a national toy chain before deciding that I couldn’t bear to be away from Impact Media any longer. I recently rejoined the team in September 2009.

Where are you from?

Galway City - I’m a complete home bird. I went to college in NUIG and have always worked in Galway

What exactly do you do?

My title is Senior Project Manager so I look after a number of key clients and all of their marketing requirements. You could say that I’m a marketing manager for 4 or 5 different businesses.

What’s the best buzz about your job?

I suppose no day here is the same. You wake up in the morning not knowing what kind of a day lies ahead and that in itself is a buzz. When you see campaigns that the design team have worked on going to print and appearing in national press it also gives you great pride in your work and teammates knowing that we have all worked together to get a campaign to print.

What are your career highlights so far?

What can I say apart from rejoining the team at Impact Media again this year :o)

What are your spare time passions?

HHMMM, difficult one. I’ve just started to learn to swim and I’m really enjoying that. I decided I no longer wanted to be the pasty Irish cailin that always sat on a sun lounger on holidays whilst everyone else was off in the pool.

Your one secret (but non-work related) talent.

I have none. I’m completely useless...

What’s your favourite ad of all time?

I think the Cadbury’s adverts are brilliant. They are so completely different and always make me laugh out loud.

If you were reincarnated, who or what would you come back as?

A winner of the Euro Millions.

I wish I knew more about…

The Euro Millions numbers.

People say I look like…

What’s your idea of perfect happiness?

Wandering around Venice on a summers afternoon, sitting down in the Piazza and having a glass of vino watching the world go by.

What’s your dream vehicle?

O course it’s my Red Yaris.
